Nevena has been passionately working in the field of data and AI since her university days. After completing her computer science studies at TU Wien, she focused on federated decision support systems as part of her PhD research. She then transitioned into industry, where she successfully worked in big data and decision support systems consulting, primarily in the telecommunications and finance sectors. In 2019, she joined OMV, where she co-initiated the Data Analytics Platform initiative and now leads the Corporate Data Analytics Program. In this role, she is responsible for strategic and operational corporate use cases, advocates for robust data governance, and promotes data literacy across the organization.

My job is the perfect blend of purpose, creativity, and constant evolution. I love that every day brings a new challenge—no two are ever the same. Working in data and AI allows me to be both analytical and imaginative, designing solutions that are not only technically sound but also impactful. I’m especially motivated by the opportunity to continuously grow, learn, and stay at the forefront of a field that’s reshaping our world. Being part of this revolutionary time—where AI is expanding what’s possible—is incredibly inspiring. It’s exciting to know that the work I do today can help drive the energy transition and contribute to a more sustainable future.
